SHOT Show 2017 was this week. Today, it was "announced" to the the participants of the MHS competition that a platform was selected. It appears that SIG Sauer's P320 based submission was selected. This is still partly rumor but I trust at least one of the sources (The Firearm Blog).
The pistol appears to be based on an unreleased variant of the SIG P320 with manual safety.
If this is true, I'm hoping that the Army will let the M9 go to the CMP for transfer to the civilian population. This could make for some cheap Berettas flooding the market.
