After getting back from the 4th of July holiday, I had seen where two incidences have occurred. One in PA and one in MD. I've seen the PA incident on TV news with the headline including a "AR style rifle" but I haven't seen the other incident where 30 people, including several kids, were shot in Baltimore. It's been crickets. My belief is simple. The Baltimore incident was probably gang related and definitely occurred in a location where just about everything gun control advocates want, they have in Maryland. Gun permits, no carry permits, waiting periods, assault weapon ban, magazine limitations, ban on private sales and expanded background checks. Maryland is basically a wet dream State for gun control advocates. Sadly, the incident still occurred despite all of the control these people demand is needed. Their ideas failed and that statement simply cannot be allowed on TV. Gun control failing? You'll never hear that from CBS, NBC or CNN.
Not much information is available currently so I'll hold off on speculation as fact but until an AR-15 or similar weapon was found to be used, it will continue to be crickets.
That said, the PA incident fits the preferred narrative of "AR-15's are bad, mmmkay?" Additionally, PA is a carry state so there was a chance that someone could have returned fire. As it turns out, Philly PD took a person into custody that they think shot back at the shooter. Again, I can't provide facts but I can for sure allude to the notion that if there was a concealed carry permit holder that shot back at the bad guy, that will most likely be swept right under the rug. Then again, it might not be the guy. We shall see.
Carry your gun and shoot back.
