100 Years Worth of Mass Shootings - Why I'd Rather Face a Mass Shooting Everyday vs Cave on Fighting Gun Control

It would take 100 years worth of  Boulder style mass shootings every single day where 10 people died in each incident combined with the average number of annual homicides of around 11000 deaths (according to the FBI's UCS report) to kill the same number of people murdered by governments in just the 1900's. Why? Because in just the 1900's alone, the governments of the world sponsored enough genocidal action and wielded enough excessive power to kill anywhere between 150 to 200 million human lives, possibly more. That would mean that the average annual death toll is anywhere between 1.5 million and 2 million lives lost every year from 1900 to DEC 31 1999 due to excessive power in the hands of government officials both elected and illegal and most of the world never had enough fire power in the hands of the civilian population to stop it. 

3650 would be the death toll from high profile daily mass shootings + 11000 normal number is under 15000. Multiply 15000 deaths each year in the US with 100 years and you get close to or less than the number of deaths created by excessive government power at 1.5 million or more.

These may be fuzzy numbers but even a quick Google search can help with this. 

The estimated death toll from WW1 is 20 mil with WW2 being 65 mil. The actions taken by the various Marxist governments in the 20th century is credited to be around 100 mil. Those right there account for at least around 185 million deaths. 

For example, the German and Italian fascist governments of the 1930's and 1940's killed around 10 million to 20 million just out right. The Japanese Imperialist government murdered around 3 million or more during WW2 alone. The Maxist Russian government in 1932 to 1933 killed 3 million Ukrainians because the Ukrainians had food and the Russians didn't so the Russians called them thieves and rolled in. The British in the very early 1900's resulted in the deaths of an unknown number of indigenous peoples in the British colonies. Pol Pot and his Marist Cambodian government murdered around 3 million in Asia starting in 1979. Uganda and Rwanda murdered around 500,000 to 1 million people during those Marxist campaigns. The Ottoman Empire murdered around 1 million Armenians alone from 1915 to 1916 and doesn't include the Greek 

I know there are more but I can't remember all of the smaller ones like the ethnic cleansing the Astro-Hungarians perpetuated against Russians and Serbs or Stalin's murder of 150,000 Jews before WW2. Look up Pogrom for more details on Russia's history of Anti-Semitism. There are also plenty of incidents in the Africa, Middle East and South America for you to learn about. 

In the end, my choice is easy. I would rather have the system of open access to firearms that we have now than watch my neighbors or children be rounded up in the next known wave of crazy, Hatorade drinking Authoritarians that shows up and gets a few million people killed in the next 50 years.

Given the amount of hate on both sides in regards to politics and certain folks' love of dumping proverbial gasoline onto these political fires, it would not surprise me to if someone shows up in 20 to 50 years. You get the those types that "I hope your children die in a mass shooting types" and they are the ones who feel so strongly about something they when that Evil does finally show up in this world, they vote for that garbage. 

That sort of people that get killed are usually the ones who want to be left alone and are just living their lives.

Don't give more control to the Feds in the form of assault weapon bans and similar gun control. Your children or grand children may need them to save their or their friends lives.
