Weird Gun Idea - Integrally Suppressed Double Action Carbine

Concept: Manually operated integrally suppressed carbine that ISN'T bolt action, lever action or slide action to reduce action noise.

Intent - To produce a short range, short length rifle quieter to operate than currently existing integrally suppressed rifles such as the DeLisle Carbine or the Ruger M77/357 or M77/44 converted bolt action rifles or existing semi-auto platforms.

Origin - To create a modern and easy to feed weapon similar to the Knights Revolver Rifle. The basis of the idea is to use a Nagant m1895 Officers Carbine or m1910 with swing out cylinder but converted to carbine with the host being converted to integrally suppressed. Since the gas seal function of this weapon design would require use of the 7.62x38R Nagant cartridge, which is not in common production in the US, ammo selection rules out the use of the Nagant gas-seal system though could be the best solution.

Suggested Approach - Franklin Armory out of Nevada has successfully developed a trigger mechanism they call Digital Action similar to double action trigger combined with an open bolt breach loading system. A long trigger pull retracts the bolt from the breach to a point far enough back to allow a cartridge from a magazine to be presented to the bolt face. At a further rearward point, the bolt is freed from the trigger and pushed forward stripping a round from the magazine and into the breach and locking the bolt to seal said breach. That round is then discharged similar to an open bolt weapon but the bolt does not cycle backwards.

To continue operation, one simply pulls the trigger again to extract and eject the spent case from the chamber and continues rearward to start the above process over again.

I believe that this mechanism could be combined with an integrally suppressed barrel and since the action does not open the bolt until desired by the user, the burning gasses do not escape via the breach. Additionally, the action does not require the use of a rotating bolt action or lever which can be quite loud.

Place this action into a weapon that has a traditional style stock and make the weapon as thin as possible and you have my idea.

Update: I wrote this back in April of 2021. Well today is 06 MAR 2023 and apparently a Czech gun company called Alfa Proj makes a revolving carbine in 9mm that's suppressed. It doesn't gas seal but it's still cool.
