The Congressional Review Act - It's a Total Joke

The Congressional Review Act in theory is a great idea but it fails to address the primary problem, the Executive Branch's overreach. If an Agency within the Executive Branch creates a Rule that Congress disagrees with, Congress can put forth a bill to remove or invalidate that Rule. The problem is that bill still has to go to the same Executive Branch that let the Rule move forward.

Effectively, the CRA is useless because you're requiring the sign-off of a dictator to remove that same dictator's Rule. Joe Biden wants the ATF's pistol brace rule. He's not going to overturn it.

The only upshot to the CRA is if you could get a veto proof majority and that will never happen or if you had a totally rouge Agency that needed wrangled in.

Simply put, the House's new pistol brace Rule bill will die because Progressive Era politics created a dictatorship and people don't want to fix it. The old people like it.
